Open ERP Datev Konverter - Open ERP Trainings in Germany

Hi.

as german Open ERP partner we received a lot of request about export of accounting moves to german tax accounting software DATEV. In fact a lot of smb companies post their accounting data once a month to their local certified tax agency.

Datev is the main accounting system for delivery of tax reports to fiscal authorities in germany. Datev system provides two main ways to import account moves out of 3rd party systems:

csv file import (comma separated values)

import of binary files (so called KNE format)

Some months ago we finished OpenERP Datev Converter as tool to support the data import process based on datev 's KNE format. Now it is the time to support german OpenERP users also with the documentation to use this converter.

& Webapplications. We are listed under the category "CRM, ERP &

Once a month we provide a free webinar to inform german companies
and individuals about OpenERP. A great success was also VMWare
appliance donwload, which helps a lot to"jump over" first installation
barrier especially for windows users.

Currently we have a module in development which
will handle export of accounting move lines to DATEV.
DATEV is the major system for tax consultants in germany.

We recognized a strong demand mainly from small medium business
in germany for this DATEV interface. In most cases they are practicizing
bookkeeping in cooperation with their local tax advisor.

Luckily we engaged a skilled python developer with DATEV experiences
to develop OpenERP - DATEV interface.

Our last Open ERP development was a interface to handle data transfer
of payables out of Open ERP into online banking software hibiscus.
Hibiscus is also Open Source and is able to handle widely spreaded HBCI format
for online banking in germany.

Openbig's main focus is implementation and support for Open ERP. In future we hope
to expand project individual development and customisation with tiny and other
international Open ERP partners.

I am sure that we have a great potential to build up a strong alliance between
Open ERP editor and individual Open ERP partners to act together
in customers projects.

Therefore i will suggest further improvements in Open ERP
partners mailing list. As a result Open ERP "alliance" should be able
to control developement and service capacity peaks.

This will enable us to offer more complete coverage of customers demand
and maybe also better end customers prices for development and services.

Open ERP VMWare Appliance Download

German Partner OpenBIG is proud to annouce Open ERP VMWare Appliance.

The machine is Ubuntu Server 8.04 based JeOS with Open ERP version 5.0.0.3. The Open ERP VMWare Appliance comes with five demo databases preinstalled.
The default language setting is german. Changing default language should
be very easy for international users.

In order to connect Open ERP databases you only need a Webbrowser
(e.g. Firefox) or a local installed Open ERP Desktop Client.

The Vmware Server Appliance will need only Lan connectivity to work
properly (IP via DHCP).

Download is free and available under

You only have to fill out a short form (name,company, email)
to reach the download button. Download should be very fast,
because we use Amazon S3 to provide download.

OpenERP German Language Translation

Die deutsche Spracherweiterung für die allermeisten openERP Module ist fertig!
Most german module translations are ready!

Thanks to all other contributors especially Ferdinand Gassauer from Austria.

This video gives a short explanation about import of translation file and change of the user preferences from default english language to german language. The translation file covers all modules and functions for the "service company profil". I hope there will be also a lot of coverage also for some modules of other profiles.

I hope that we will be able to contribute this translation also to launchpad. Currently we have some issues to upload these files. If we succeed launchpad upload it might be a little bit easier for other users to contribute, because they will be able to change and add their own interpretations.

As you see new translation feature of openerp version 5 will be also another option to use own translations, own sentences which opens you additional options for openERP personalisation.

Please play the video in full screen mode. Possibilities to show screencasts in a good quality are very limited, especially for ubuntu (linux) screencasts. I hope blip.tv was a good choice, but i hope we will find out better options for the future.
